i'm not big on live beatmatching, though sometimes i do it, for me it's all about flow.<BR>
i tend to crossfade between non-rhythmic sections or start dead on the next beat after the previous song ends.<BR>
this is not just "hitting the play button" - i do pitch shifting, multiple track layering as well as my own custom remixes to keep things interesting.<BR>

sometimes it's mostly one type of music, sometimes it morphs very slowly from style to style, sometimes i jump from genre to genre to mess with expectations, but it always makes sense.<BR><BR>
